SIMON COWELL: ‘I WISH I WAS GAY ‘

The 53-year-old music mogul – who is expecting his first child with Lauren Silverman following a passionate affair – is known for having a string of girls on his arm, but he admits his womanising ways risked him going bankrupt and life would be easier if he just dated men instead.

The ‘X Factor‘ boss has previously struck up a romance with TV presenter Terri Seymour, pop singer Sinitta and make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy, but instead of ending on sour terms, the star showers his ex-lovers with pricey gifts and regularly takes them on lavish holidays. Speaking in an interview hosted by Terri, when asked if he had ever feared bankruptcy, he said: ‘Yes, particularly when I’ve had girlfriends like you lot!

‘I said to someone the other day that I wish I had been born gay. I would have saved a fortune.’ However, despite Simon’s eye for the ladies, he has recently hinted he might be ready to settle down and is considering tying the knot with his current girlfriend Lauren, who is believed to be around three months pregnant, at some point in the future.

He said previously: ‘I’m not ruling anything out in the future. If you asked me a year ago, at my age am I going to have a baby, I probably would have said ‘no’ so you’ve just got to take each day as it comes now. ’Whatever feels right you should do.’

“I WAS ONCE ATTACKED WITH TOMATOES FOR SNATCHING MY FRIEND’S HUSBAND…” – SHAN GEORGE REVEALS

In a recent interview with a national newspaper, Cross River – born actress, Shan George cleared the air on her controversial lifestyle, scandals, failed marriages and many more.

See excerpts below:

On how the scandals and controversies affect her:

As a human being, such things affect me. How we cope with it is what makes us different. For me, I see it as the hazard of the profession. Fortunately, my children are adults and can decipher truth from falsehood. Truth is, when people write false comments about you, those who are very close to you (your family) always know the truth. They are those who matter to me.

Once you have a clear conscience, then there is no fear.

On rumors of her third marriage:

There was no third marriage. Actually, it was a role I played in a movie. Entitled ‘Heartbreak’, it was shot late last year in Abuja. In the movie, I got married and the production pictures circulated in the media as part of publicity stunt for the movie. Then, some bloggers, who claim to be journalists, got hold of it and said I got married! It was just a movie wedding not a real one.

HOW I HIDE VICTIMS IN CHURCH AND SPLIT RANSOM WITH MY PASTOR – KIDNAPPER

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested 38-year-old wanted kidnap suspect, Okafor, a graduate of Mathematics from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Okafor popularly known as Igwe did not only fall afoul of the law as a kidnapper, he also messed up the temple of God by keeping his victims in a church and sharing his loot with the pastor.

Once on a mission to collect N5 million ransom from the family of victim in Asaba, Delta State, he was rounded up by crack policemen and locked up in a cell.

Okafor, however, escaped through the window of the cell to continue his evil trade until the hardworking members of the State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Anambra ended his reign of terror.
The kidnap kingpin spoke with Sunday Sun: “I graduated from Unizik in 2006 and I studied Mathematics. I did my NYSC in Abuja and I served in NNPC at Berger. After graduation I was going to Ghana to buy clothes to sell in Lagos State.

OBASANJO, ATIKU ARE FINISHED – JUBRIL AMINU

Prof. Jubril Aminu is a founding member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). He was also at different times the Minister of Education and Petroleum Resources. He was equally a senator. In this interview, he speaks on the PDP crisis, saying the attempt by former Vice President  Atiku Abubakar and some governors to break away from the mainstream PDP is borne out of the need to remain politically relevant.

According to him, President Goodluck Jonathan should concentrate on delivering on the mandate given to  him by Nigerians and worry  less about  second term, which, he says,  the president would get  on a platter, if Nigerians see him as performing.

Excerpts:

How do you see the breakaway moves  of some PDP members led by former Vice President  Atiku Abubakar,  some governors and former national officers of the party?

What they did is nothing to worry about. Democracy is partly about the expression of personal opinions. There is nothing in jumping ship by any party member under democracy. As an original founding member of the PDP, I have been around all the time and I can be described as a major stakeholder in Nigeria and my state of Adamawa.

INSIDE THE $9 BILLION DANGOTE PETROLEUM REFINERY

Aliko Dangote is a business juggernaut whose middle name is entrepreneur. He is never dissuaded from entering new businesses despite the general inclement operating business environment. Given his foray into many different business terrains and the successes he has recorded thereof, it would appear he has the uncanny ability to juggle different balls at the same time and get results.

He has been declared the richest black man on the planet earth, yet his humility will surprise you. He remains unaffected by the lofty heights he has attained in business.

His business acumen is unparalleled. From the humble beginning, Dangote has nurtured a trading company to a pan-African conglomerate and a force to be reckoned with in the global arena using creativity, innovation, style, patience and commitment to his dream.

He made a bold move to acquire the Kaduna refinery in 2007 along with one of his friends in response to the government’s call to help rejuvenate the ailing refinery which, by then, had become a draining pipe to the Federal Government. For one reason or the other, Dangote returned the refining plant  to government. Since then, he had been on the drawing board deploying his business dexterity on the best way to enter into the critical oil and gas sector.

Operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in Lagos State, have arrested a gang of car snatchers suspected of terrorizing Ikeja and other parts of the state for a long time. The suspects, Sadiq Olayibi, Tolani Adeyinka, Adeleke Teslim and Olayemi Akiloye, met their waterloo when SARS operatives swooped on them at various parts of the state. Olabiyi described himself as a kid robber who graduated to a full blown car snatcher. Also arrested was a 50-year-old woman, Lawal Ireti, who was described as the gang’s informant.

Police sources said Ireti provided other jobs for the gang when they were not snatching cars. According to the sources, the woman suspect provided information to the gang that led to the robbery of the N8 million from a micro finance bank in Ogba area of Ikeja.

“The gang specialized in car snatching and they terrorized Ikeja and environs for a lng time. They operated during the weekends and their targets were exotic cars. Their activities gave the police, residents and night crawlers in Ikeja sleepless nights and the state Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, in his bid to stem the gang’s operation, ordered the officer in charge of SARS, SP, Abba Kyari, to trail and apprehend the bandits.

NIGERIA : TO BREAK OR NOT TO BREAK

Today a great protest  is taking place in the Catallan region of  Spain. According to the polls, 52 per cent of the people from that region wish to break off from Spain and to establish a new European sovereign state.

Later this year, the people of Scotland are having their own referendum to determine whether or not they will stay in the United Kingdom and, again, from the polls, it is very clear that the majority of Scots wish to have their own new sovereign state and that the Scottish Nationalist Party enjoys massive support. Nobody in either Spain or the United Kingdom has insulted those people or labelled them as ‘’ethnic jingoists’’ or ‘’primitive tribalists’’ for wanting to break off from the greater whole and establish their own country.

I ONCE GAVE OUT 85 PAIRS OF SHOES AND STILL HAD 200 LEFT –EMPRESS NJAMAH

Actress, Empress Njamah, tells ‘Nonye Ben-Nwankwo about her fashion and style

What does fashion and style mean to you?

I think they are everyday life. Your fashion is your style.

Do you think you are a fashionable person?

It is not for me to say. My style might be different from what the other person calls fashion. And my fashion can be different from what another person calls her style. I don’t think there is anybody who will say she doesn’t like the way she looks. But basically, it takes a good eye to know good fashion.

Do you have that ‘good eye’?

YES, PATIENCE JONATHAN IS MY JESUS CHRIST – BIPI

Mr. Evans Bipi is the member representing Ogu Bolo State Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly. In this interview with CHUKWUDI AKASIKE, he speaks on his role in the crisis rocking the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Some people have described Rivers State House of Assembly as animal kingdom, how do you feel about this, especially as a principal actor in the whole crisis rocking the Assembly?

I feel bad and I really feel sad, but this is a nation where the Press has freedom of speech. It is a democratic setting. Based on the past incident, one can call it animal kingdom, but it is not. We are there to correct all the anomalies. Whatever that is not good is not good. We are there to point out to the governor that this is not good, this is good, do this, don’t do this so that we can form a good government.

But recently, the Nollywood leading lady voiced her frustration with the Nigerian media which she claimed have repeatedly killed her attempt at having a sustainable romantic relation.

In her own words: ”I don’t talk about my personal life because some years ago, I was in this relationship that became public, and the press killed it! The relationship didn’t work out because of the press because they put a lot of pressure on it.” True to her words, it has been relatively difficult to pin her down to any relationship even though she just celebrated her 38th birthday in July.

NOT NIGERIANS:WATCH HOW FLAVOUR'S CAMEROONIAN FANS CRY, FALL DOWN AS HE PERFORMS

Watch how Cameroonians were falling down as Nigerian singer, Flavour performed for them. One of of them actually wanted to go down on him while on stage (28:40). I believe that this kind of spirit does not exit in Nigeria.
